Before you start

Prepare for your trade in Côte d’Ivoire.

In Côte d’Ivoire, Wave, Orange Money, MTN and Moov are familiar options for everyday FCFA transfers. When P2P and a matching offer are available for your account, ZyndPay lets you buy or sell USDT (TRC-20) in FCFA. The order shows the payment method to use and the recipient’s details.

01

Escrow on every order

In an open P2P order, the seller's USDT is locked in custodial escrow. The seller releases it after confirming receipt of payment; a dispute follows a separate process. Escrow reduces counterparty risk without removing every risk.

02

Payment methods for your trade

Check the method offered in the listing, then follow the order instructions. A provider operating in your country is not necessarily available for your trade.

03

A dollar-stable balance

View your USDT balance in the wallet. USDT is designed to track the US dollar, but it can deviate and is not a bank deposit.

04

Verification & compliance

Access depends on required verification, compliance checks, and the services enabled for your account and market.

How it works

01

Create your account

Sign up, verify your number and review the services available for your account in Côte d’Ivoire.

02

Pick an offer

If P2P is available, browse active offers, compare the rate, limits and payment method, then open an order. The seller's USDT moves into escrow.

03

Buying: pay, then receive

Pay the seller in FCFA using the agreed method, then mark the order paid. The seller checks receipt before releasing USDT to your wallet. If you disagree, use the order's dispute process.

04

Selling: check receipt before release

If you sell, check receipt in your own FCFA account before releasing USDT. A screenshot or a paid status does not prove receipt. Use the dispute process if you disagree.

Buying USDT in Côte d’Ivoire: check the recipient before you confirm

Côte d’Ivoire uses the West African CFA franc (XOF), issued by the BCEAO across the West African Monetary Union. Wave, Orange Money, MTN MoMo and Moov Money run transfers in their own services, but an operator offering transfers does not mean its method is enabled on a ZyndPay offer. If a P2P order is available to your account, compare its XOF amount, recipient and payment method with the provider screen before you enter your PIN. The provider transfer and ZyndPay’s custodial USDT escrow are separate steps.

01

Treat your PIN as the point of no return

Wave Côte d’Ivoire’s terms say each transaction is confirmed with your PIN, that mistakes in identifying the recipient or entering a number are the sender’s responsibility, and that a settled transfer is generally not cancelled or refunded because the recipient is paid once it is processed. The same terms describe a separate path for recipients without a Wave account, who receive a one-time code by SMS to collect the money. Before confirming, check that the number, amount and receipt path match the live P2P order, not a number sent later in chat.

02

Ignore instructions you did not start

MTN Côte d’Ivoire’s rules for MoMo subscribers say your secret code stays secret, verification codes are confidential, instructions from strangers about your account should be ignored, and you should validate only operations you initiated. Orange Côte d’Ivoire adds: never send money to someone asking for help by SMS or Facebook, never share the one-time code used for withdrawals, and never dial an Orange Money code on a caller’s instructions, even if the caller claims to be an Orange agent. No step of a ZyndPay P2P order asks you to share a provider PIN or verification code; if a counterparty does, stop and keep the conversation in the order.

03

A notification does not release escrow

Keep the provider’s confirmation and transaction reference, then mark the order paid only after sending the agreed XOF amount. A transfer notification or screenshot alone does not release custodial USDT: the seller confirms receipt in their own payment account, or the order follows its dispute process. Do not send a second payment to settle a disagreement in chat. If you believe the provider made an error, Wave’s terms direct you to its own customer service; that claim runs separately from the ZyndPay order.

BCEAO describes the regional currency; Wave, Orange and MTN describe their own terms and account-safety rules. No official Moov Money page is cited, so these checkpoints do not describe its service. These sources do not establish a ZyndPay partnership, a supported payment method, or a live offer for your account.

FAQ

Your questions. Answered.

How do I buy USDT in Côte d’Ivoire with ZyndPay?

When P2P and a matching offer are available, open an order and pay the seller in FCFA using the displayed method. After checking receipt, the seller releases the escrowed USDT. If there is a disagreement, use the dispute process.

Which mobile money payment methods are offered in Côte d’Ivoire?

Check the listings in Wallet for the methods offered to your account. Availability depends on active offers and applicable checks.

Is it safe?

A P2P order uses custodial escrow: the seller's USDT is locked before payment, then released when the seller confirms receipt. A dispute may require a separate decision. This reduces some risks without eliminating them. Always verify the offer, recipient and displayed instructions.

What are the fees?

The fee, rate and amount to receive are shown in the app before each order. Review them before proceeding.
