Before you start

Prepare for your trade in Senegal.

In Senegal, Wave and Orange Money are familiar options for everyday FCFA transfers. When P2P and a matching offer are available for your account, ZyndPay lets you buy or sell USDT (TRC-20) in FCFA. The order shows the payment method to use and the recipient’s details.

01

Escrow on every order

In an open P2P order, the seller's USDT is locked in custodial escrow. The seller releases it after confirming receipt of payment; a dispute follows a separate process. Escrow reduces counterparty risk without removing every risk.

02

Payment methods for your trade

Check the method offered in the listing, then follow the order instructions. A provider operating in your country is not necessarily available for your trade.

03

A dollar-stable balance

View your USDT balance in the wallet. USDT is designed to track the US dollar, but it can deviate and is not a bank deposit.

04

Verification & compliance

Access depends on required verification, compliance checks, and the services enabled for your account and market.

How it works

01

Create your account

Sign up, verify your number and review the services available for your account in Senegal.

02

Pick an offer

If P2P is available, browse active offers, compare the rate, limits and payment method, then open an order. The seller's USDT moves into escrow.

03

Buying: pay, then receive

Pay the seller in FCFA using the agreed method, then mark the order paid. The seller checks receipt before releasing USDT to your wallet. If you disagree, use the order's dispute process.

04

Selling: check receipt before release

If you sell, check receipt in your own FCFA account before releasing USDT. A screenshot or a paid status does not prove receipt. Use the dispute process if you disagree.

Buying USDT in Senegal: check the Wave or Orange Money transfer

Senegal uses the West African CFA franc (XOF), issued by the BCEAO for the West African monetary union. Wave and Orange Money each describe transfers in their own services, but an operator offering transfers does not mean its method is enabled on a ZyndPay offer. If a P2P order is available to your account, compare its XOF amount, recipient and payment method with the provider screen before entering your PIN. The provider transfer and ZyndPay’s custodial USDT escrow are separate steps.

01

A withdrawal code is not a wallet credit

Wave and Orange Money both explain that when the recipient has no account with them, the recipient receives an SMS code to collect the money in cash rather than a balance credit. Orange Money also asks the person collecting it to show ID matching the name entered in the transfer. A ZyndPay order shows how the seller expects to receive XOF. If your payment screen proposes a code-based transfer or a different number from the one in the order, stop and resolve the mismatch inside the order before sending.

02

Check the recipient before your PIN

Orange Money’s terms ask senders to check, on every transfer, that they have not mistaken the recipient or the amount, and Wave’s Senegal terms make the sender responsible for wrong recipient details. Wave adds that a recipient is generally paid as soon as the transfer is processed, so a reversal is not assured. Enter only the recipient and exact amount shown in the live order. Keep your PIN to yourself: Orange Money says it will never ask for your password or ask you to make a transfer to a mobile number to pay a bill.

03

Keep the reference, then let the order decide

Wave asks for the transaction date, amount and reference when you report a problem, and Orange Money’s transfer-error form also asks for the transaction reference. Keep that provider confirmation, then mark the P2P order paid only after sending the agreed amount. A transfer notification or screenshot alone does not release custodial USDT: the seller confirms receipt in their own account or the order follows its dispute process. Do not send a second payment to resolve a disagreement in chat.

BCEAO describes the regional currency; Wave and Orange Money describe their own transfer terms and account-safety advice. These sources do not establish a ZyndPay partnership, a supported payment method, or a live offer for your account.

FAQ

Your questions. Answered.

How do I buy USDT in Senegal with ZyndPay?

When P2P and a matching offer are available, open an order and pay the seller in FCFA using the displayed method. After checking receipt, the seller releases the escrowed USDT. If there is a disagreement, use the dispute process.

Which mobile money payment methods are offered in Senegal?

Check the listings in Wallet for the methods offered to your account. Availability depends on active offers and applicable checks.

Is it safe?

A P2P order uses custodial escrow: the seller's USDT is locked before payment, then released when the seller confirms receipt. A dispute may require a separate decision. This reduces some risks without eliminating them. Always verify the offer, recipient and displayed instructions.

What are the fees?
