USDCStablecoin payments
Your customers pay in USDT or USDC while you price and keep your accounts in ZMW. The checkout shows the asset, network, amount and address for each payment, and your merchant workspace tracks its confirmation. Assets, networks and limits depend on your account and its verification.

The customer sees the asset, network, amount and address to use. Sending on the wrong network can lose funds.
Fulfil only when the payment shows confirmed in your merchant workspace, never on the strength of a screenshot.
Stablecoins are designed to track the US dollar but can deviate. They carry issuer, market and network risks and are not bank deposits.
Register your business in Zambia and complete the required verification. Enabled features appear in your workspace.
Generate a link, a checkout or an API payment for the order amount.
The customer sends the exact asset on the stated network to the address shown for that payment.
Track the confirmation in your merchant workspace, then process the order.
Zambia’s currency is the Zambian kwacha (ZMW). In February 2025, the Minister of Finance told Parliament that the Constitution grants the Bank of Zambia the authority to issue the currency of the Republic, and that the Bank of Zambia Act, 2022 reinforces its exclusive right to issue legal tender. If stablecoin payments are enabled for your account, your customers pay in USDT or USDC while your business still sets prices, keeps its books and reports in kwacha terms. Decide how a ZMW price becomes a stablecoin amount before you share a payment link.
In a notice issued in February 2018, the Securities and Exchange Commission noted the rise of cryptocurrency and related digital assets and said whether they are securities depends on each product’s characteristics and use, assessed case by case. In Parliament on 8 April 2026, the Minister of Home Affairs and Internal Security acknowledged concerns about the absence of a legal framework to supervise virtual assets, said the Financial Intelligence Centre has been registering and supervising virtual asset service providers as supervisor of last resort, and said the Ministry of Finance will start amending the FIC Act. Check with your advisers how this applies to your business.
The Zambia Revenue Authority’s tax guidance states that taxpayers must keep business records for at least six years, such as sales records, invoices and receipts. For each stablecoin sale, keep together the order, the ZMW price you set, the asset and network, the amount received and the transaction reference shown in your workspace. The ZRA pages cited here do not address digital assets specifically, so check with ZRA or a tax adviser how to value and report these receipts and how your invoicing obligations apply to them.
Release goods or services only once the payment shows as confirmed in your ZyndPay workspace, not when a customer sends a screenshot, a transaction hash in chat or a message saying the payment is on its way. Stablecoins sent on the wrong network or to the wrong address may not be recoverable, so ask customers to pay with the asset, network and address shown at checkout. If you agree to a refund, send it in the same asset and on the same network as the original payment, and record it against the original order.
Parliament of Zambia records, the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Zambia Revenue Authority describe Zambia’s currency, official statements on virtual assets and tax record-keeping. These sources do not establish a ZyndPay licence, partnership, regulatory approval, or availability for your account.

In Parliament on 8 April 2026, the Minister of Home Affairs and Internal Security said there is no dedicated legal framework yet, that the Financial Intelligence Centre, as supervisor of last resort, has been registering and supervising virtual asset service providers, and that the Ministry of Finance will start amending the Financial Intelligence Centre Act to cover virtual assets explicitly. Check the current position with the FIC or your advisers.
