USDCStablecoin payments
Your customers pay in USDT or USDC while you price and keep your accounts in XOF. The checkout shows the asset, network, amount and address for each payment, and your merchant workspace tracks its confirmation. Assets, networks and limits depend on your account and its verification.

The customer sees the asset, network, amount and address to use. Sending on the wrong network can lose funds.
Fulfil only when the payment shows confirmed in your merchant workspace, never on the strength of a screenshot.
Stablecoins are designed to track the US dollar but can deviate. They carry issuer, market and network risks and are not bank deposits.
Register your business in Benin and complete the required verification. Enabled features appear in your workspace.
Generate a link, a checkout or an API payment for the order amount.
The customer sends the exact asset on the stated network to the address shown for that payment.
Track the confirmation in your merchant workspace, then process the order.
Benin uses the West African CFA franc (XOF), issued by the BCEAO as the common currency of the eight West African Monetary Union member states. If stablecoin payments are enabled for your account, your customers pay in USDT or USDC while your business continues to price, invoice and keep its accounts in XOF terms. Set the XOF price of each order before you share a payment link, and record the stablecoin amount received next to it. The points below draw on what the BCEAO and the Government of Benin have published.
At an international conference it held in Dakar on 8 May 2026, the BCEAO drew attention to the risks of crypto-assets, including their high volatility, their cross-border reach, cybersecurity, consumer protection and money-laundering concerns. It also reported that it has set up a committee to develop a regulatory framework for crypto-assets in the WAMU. Stablecoins are not XOF and are not bank deposits. Follow BCEAO announcements, since the rules that apply in Benin may change as that framework develops.
Benin’s Law No. 2024-01 of 20 February 2024 deals with combating money laundering, terrorist financing and proliferation financing. The uniform anti-money-laundering law text published by the BCEAO lists virtual asset service providers among the persons it covers and states that no one may carry on that activity professionally without prior approval or authorization from the competent authority. Whether and how these texts affect a business accepting stablecoins for its own goods or services is a question to check with a qualified adviser in Benin.
Ship goods or deliver a service only after the payment shows as confirmed in your ZyndPay workspace, in the asset and on the network shown at checkout. A screenshot or a message from the customer is not proof of payment. If you need to refund, send back the same asset on the same network to an address the customer has confirmed in writing. Keep the XOF price of the order, the stablecoin amount received and any refund details together in your records.
These BCEAO and Government of Benin sources describe Benin’s currency and the regulatory texts cited above. They do not establish a ZyndPay licence, partnership, regulatory approval, or availability for your account.
