USDCStablecoin payments
Your customers pay in USDT or USDC while you price and keep your accounts in XOF. The checkout shows the asset, network, amount and address for each payment, and your merchant workspace tracks its confirmation. Assets, networks and limits depend on your account and its verification.

The customer sees the asset, network, amount and address to use. Sending on the wrong network can lose funds.
Fulfil only when the payment shows confirmed in your merchant workspace, never on the strength of a screenshot.
Stablecoins are designed to track the US dollar but can deviate. They carry issuer, market and network risks and are not bank deposits.

Mali uses the West African CFA franc (XOF), issued by the Central Bank of West African States (BCEAO) for the eight UMOA member states. If stablecoin payments are enabled for your account, your customers pay in USDT or USDC while your business keeps pricing, invoicing and accounting in XOF terms. Decide how you convert the order value at checkout and record the XOF figure next to each payment. The points below are practical discipline, not legal advice.
At a conference it hosted in Dakar on 8 May 2026, the BCEAO Governor pointed to risks linked to crypto-assets, including high volatility, their cross-border nature, cybersecurity, consumer protection and anti-money laundering. He also said the BCEAO had set up a committee to draft a regulatory framework for crypto-assets in the UMOA. Stablecoins are not XOF and are not bank deposits, so follow BCEAO publications and check with your adviser how future rules could affect your business.
Ordinance No. 2024-011/PT-RM of 30 August 2024 on anti-money laundering, published in Mali’s Official Journal, defines virtual assets and states that no one may carry on the professional activity of a virtual asset service provider without prior approval or authorization from the competent authority. If a third party exchanges or holds stablecoins for your business, ask it for its status, and check with a qualified adviser which obligations apply to your own activity.
Release goods or services only after the payment shows as confirmed in your workspace, with the asset, network and amount matching the checkout. Never accept a screenshot, a forwarded message or a transaction ID sent by the customer as proof on its own. If a refund is due, send it in the same asset and on the same network as the original payment, to an address the customer confirms, and keep the XOF value of the order with the payment record.
