USDCStablecoin payments
Your customers pay in USDT or USDC while you price and keep your accounts in XOF. The checkout shows the asset, network, amount and address for each payment, and your merchant workspace tracks its confirmation. Assets, networks and limits depend on your account and its verification.

The customer sees the asset, network, amount and address to use. Sending on the wrong network can lose funds.
Fulfil only when the payment shows confirmed in your merchant workspace, never on the strength of a screenshot.
Stablecoins are designed to track the US dollar but can deviate. They carry issuer, market and network risks and are not bank deposits.
Register your business in Burkina Faso and complete the required verification. Enabled features appear in your workspace.
Generate a link, a checkout or an API payment for the order amount.
The customer sends the exact asset on the stated network to the address shown for that payment.
Track the confirmation in your merchant workspace, then process the order.
Burkina Faso uses the West African CFA franc (XOF), issued by the Central Bank of West African States (BCEAO) for the member states of the West African Monetary Union. If stablecoin payments are enabled for your account, your customer pays in USDT or USDC, while your prices, invoices and books stay in XOF terms. Decide how you convert a XOF price into a stablecoin amount before you share a payment link, and record both figures for each order. The checkpoints below cover what official sources say about crypto-assets in Burkina Faso and how to handle confirmation and refunds.
At a conference in Dakar on 8 May 2026, the BCEAO Governor pointed to the strong volatility of crypto-assets, their cross-border reach, and risks around cybersecurity, consumer protection and money laundering. He said the BCEAO had set up a committee to draft a regulatory framework for crypto-assets in the WAMU. Burkina Faso's anti-money-laundering law no. 046-2024/ALT, adopted on 30 December 2024, defines virtual assets and requires virtual asset service providers to obtain prior approval or authorization. Check with a local adviser how these rules apply to your activity.
A BCEAO communiqué reminds the public that its banknotes and coins are legal tender in every WAEMU member state, including Burkina Faso, and must be accepted as a means of payment, notably by sellers of goods and services. Offer USDT or USDC as an additional option, not as a replacement for FCFA. Show prices in XOF, state the stablecoin amount and network on the order, and keep both in your records so your accounts reflect what you agreed with the customer.
Ship goods or deliver a service only once the payment shows as confirmed in your workspace, not because a customer sends a screenshot, a transaction ID in chat or a message saying the transfer is on its way. Check that the asset and network match what the checkout displayed. If you refund, return the same asset on the same network to an address the customer confirms in writing, and keep the order reference with the refund record. Stablecoins carry issuer, market and network risk and are not bank deposits.
These BCEAO pages and Burkina Faso's anti-money-laundering law describe the regional currency and the rules on crypto-assets and virtual asset service providers. They do not establish a ZyndPay licence, partnership, regulatory approval, or availability for your account.
