Stablecoin payments

Your prices in local currency.

Your customers pay in USDT or USDC while you price and keep your accounts in XOF. The checkout shows the asset, network, amount and address for each payment, and your merchant workspace tracks its confirmation. Assets, networks and limits depend on your account and its verification.

01

Link, checkout or API

Share a payment link, redirect to a hosted page or create payments through the API from your own site.

02

Exact instructions for every payment

The customer sees the asset, network, amount and address to use. Sending on the wrong network can lose funds.

03

Confirmation tracking

Fulfil only when the payment shows confirmed in your merchant workspace, never on the strength of a screenshot.

04

Know the risks

Stablecoins are designed to track the US dollar but can deviate. They carry issuer, market and network risks and are not bank deposits.

Accepting stablecoins in Côte d’Ivoire: what to check before you fulfil

Côte d’Ivoire is a member of the West African Monetary Union, whose common currency, the CFA franc (XOF), is issued by the Central Bank of West African States (BCEAO). If stablecoin payments are enabled for your account, your customer pays in USDT or USDC while your business keeps pricing, invoicing and bookkeeping in XOF terms. Decide how the XOF price becomes the requested stablecoin amount before you share a link, and keep that record with the order. Stablecoins are not bank deposits and carry issuer, market and network risk.

01

Follow what the BCEAO says about crypto-assets

At an international conference the BCEAO held in Dakar on 8 May 2026, its Governor pointed to risks linked to crypto-assets, including their high volatility, their cross-border dimension, cybersecurity, consumer protection and the fight against money laundering. He also said the BCEAO has set up a committee to draft the regulatory framework for crypto-assets in the UMOA. That framework is still being prepared, so check the BCEAO’s announcements before relying on stablecoin payments for a large share of your sales.

02

Know whether the AML ordinance covers your activity

Ivorian Ordinance No. 2023-875 of 23 November 2023 on anti-money laundering defines virtual asset service providers and states that no one may carry on that activity professionally without prior approval or authorisation from the competent authority. It also requires the persons it covers to report suspicious transactions to CENTIF, the national financial intelligence unit. Whether these provisions reach a business that only accepts stablecoins for its own sales is a question to check with a qualified adviser in Côte d’Ivoire.

03

Fulfil only on a confirmed payment

Before shipping or delivering, check that the order shows the payment as confirmed in your workspace, with the asset, network and amount the checkout requested. Never treat a screenshot, a forwarded transaction hash or a customer message as proof of payment. If you need to refund, return the funds in the same asset and on the same network, to an address the customer confirms, and note the XOF value used for the original sale. Keep these records alongside your usual invoices.

These BCEAO and Ivorian official sources describe Côte d’Ivoire’s currency and the regulatory context for crypto-assets. They do not establish a ZyndPay licence, partnership, regulatory approval, or availability for your account.
